ILEC Webinars by Cambridge ESOL

Two webinars will be run in November and December 2012 for teachers in relation to legal English. These have been developed in conjunction with TransLegal, the partner organisation for the ILEC examination and will be delivered by Matt Firth, an external legal English trainer who has presented on ILEC on behalf of ESOL at several events in the past.

ILEC Webinar 1: Teaching lawyers as a non-lawyer
Wednesday 21 November 2012 – 2pm

This session is aimed at teachers with little knowledge of the law. It will outline some of the issues involved in teaching Legal English as a non-lawyer, the support available and how to ensure that the course gets off to a good start.

ILEC Webinar 2: Working with Legal English case studies
Wednesday 5 December – 2pm

This session will illustrate the benefits of working with Legal English case studies and outline how teachers can incorporate such materials into their teaching.
