Five Italian schools were recently awarded the prestigious title of Italian Preparation Centre of the Year by Cambridge English Language Assessment in a ceremony held at the Gonville and Caius College of the University of Cambridge in the UK on 29th May. Chosen out of an extensive network of thousands of Preparation Centres throughout Italy, these five schools demonstrated excellence in preparing their students for participation in international exams.

The winning schools, based in Polistena (RC), Pescara , Ancona , Grosseto and Foggia, received their awards in the presence of Dr. Letizia Cinganotto, D. G., an expert who has for several years applied the CLIL methodology in teaching.

Nick Beer, Director for Southern Europe, explains: “These awards are designed to offer recognition to schools that stand out for the passion, enthusiasm and perseverance with which they prepare their students for Cambridge English exams. All these schools are prepared to educate students to the highest level in English language skills, providing them with an excellent chance of success.

As English is becoming vital for every student – and an essential skill for all those who enter the labor market – the dedication of schools and teachers in Italy in helping students gain the skills they need to succeed is highly appreciable. It is a great pleasure and honor for us to be able to reward the schools that realize this goal.”
