Cambridge English announces four IATEFL 2015 Scholarships

leave a comment »

A department of Cambridge University is giving a chance for four teachers or other language teaching professionals to join colleagues from around the world for a four day conference in Manchester, England.

Cambridge English is offering four all-expenses paid scholarships to attend the 2015 IATEFL conference, the leading event in the English Language Teaching calendar, from 11 – 15 April 2015. Applicants are required to meet certain application criteria and write a short text in response to a given task.

The Scholarships provide a rare opportunity for teachers who would otherwise be unable to attend the conference to network with other professionals from around the world. Catalina Cocan, winner of the 2014 Cambridge English: Dr Peter Hargreaves Scholarship, said she “had the pleasure of meeting English-speaking professionals representing a variety of countries…we touched upon matters of interest: our countries, mother tongues and teachers’ associations”.

The deadline for applications is 24 July 2014. More information on the Scholarships, the application process and the tasks, can be found on the IATEFL website.
