leave a comment »

Cambridge English, in collaboration with a popular parents blog, recently ran a competition for parents, offering winners copies of its popular “Why is it so?” series as prizes. We are happy to announce the names of the winners in our competition:

Maria Halikia from Lefkada

Giota Panagiotopoulou from Patras

Thedora Lappa from Karditsa

Fani Papatoli from Ilioupoli

Our winners have been already notified of their success and were delighted to hear that they will soon be receiving their prizes!

A few words on our “Why is it so?” series

Cambridge English’s “Why is it so?” series consists of twenty non-fiction science readers which engage children in the world around them. The books encourage children’s natural curiosity by offering answers to the questions they ask about the world. Based on science strands such as life science, physical science, the Earth and space science, the series’ Factbooks can be used for independent reading and pair and whole class discussion. The series extends children’s knowledge and curiosity about science whilst simultaneously helping them develop reading skills and language acquisition.
