Eurolingva Examination Centre and Cambridge English honour 164 students from Sibiu, Romania

A special ceremony was held to honour 164 students from Gh. Lazar, S. Brukenthal and O. Ghibu Colleges, who received Cambridge English certificates following their succesful participation in last June’s examination session, organized by Eurolingva Examination Centre.

Of the 164 certified students, 13 were awarded Cambridge English: Proficiency certificates, the highest in rank and of a level that is close to that of a native English speaker. 63 students received certificates for Cambridge English: Advanced, 72 students were awarded certificates for Cambridge English: First and 10 were certified at Cambridge English: Preliminary level. Among students with remarkable results were Alexandra Constantin and Andreea Arif-Serban from S. Brukenthal College and Nicolae Taban, Alexandra Roman and Roman Petrușcă from Gh. Lazăr College, all at C2 level.

The certificates were awarded in the presence of teachers who guided and trained students (Maria Elena Suciu, Carmen Johannis, Corina Pavelescu, Alexandra Cristea, Consuela Vilaia, Anca Suciu, Cristina Varga, Cristina Pupeza, Victoria Hlenschi, Laura Pitariu), the Principal of Gh. Lazar College, Gabriel Negrea and Cambridge English exams representative, Steluta Stefanescu.

“Cambridge English exams are accepted by more than 13,000 universities, employers and government institutions worldwide. These exams open doors to higher education, increase employment opportunities and are recognized globally, offering multiple options to candidates for their education or career. A Cambridge certificate is the safest way to prove good knowledge of English.” said Steluta Stefanescu.
