Tsvetan Chukanov, a 15 -year-old Bulgarian boy, is a student at the Plovdiv Science & Math State Secondary School and has managed to achieve an impressive result at the MENSA Test of Intelligence. He proved to be the smartest among his peers in Bulgaria, by achieving 99%,which equals to the IQ 154, out of 160. This result means that he falls in the upper 1% of the world population with the highest IQ and gives the boy the chance to join almost any world university, once he completes his secondary education and graduates. Despite the fact that the MENSA Test is in English, during his interview at the National Bulgarian TV channel, when he was asked about his immediate plans, with no hesitation, he commented: “My next goal is to prepare and to sit for the Cambridge English:First. This certificate is supposed to open doors to access universities in UK and in the USA.” This is an undoubtful piece of evidence of the wide recognition and added value of Cambridge English exams, straight from the horse’s mouth! We would like to wish Tsvetan the best of luck in his future plans!
